Every Futuro Health student is member of Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW), a healthcare justice union of more than 97,000 healthcare workers and patients united to make sure that everyone has access to affordable, high-quality care provided by valued and respected caregivers. You are joining as an associate member of the Healthcare Justice Division of SEIU-UHW.
Why does that matter? Because there is power in numbers. Working together, we have improved working conditions and raised the standard of living for tens of thousands of healthcare workers and their families across California. Healthcare Justice Division members have worked with healthcare workers to challenge hospitals and dialysis clinics to improve patient care. We even fought to create Futuro Health to train a new generation of caregivers in our state that reflects the patient population here in California.
Building connections in healthcare can help you navigate through your education journey and into your first (or next) job in healthcare. Your $20/month membership not only gives you access to Futuro Health programs, it means you are joining an organization of patients, students, and healthcare consumers who have joined workers to fight for healthcare justice and improve healthcare experiences for all Californians.
